Buying

TrueRooms is dedicated to providing excellent products and service at competitive prices.

To make a purchase, browse our catalogue and click on any items that you wish to buy to add it to your shopping cart. When you have selected all the items you wish to buy, click on "Checkout" to pay for your goods.

Credit Card Security

Your credit card payment is taken and processed securely. All credit card numbers are encrypted when the order is placed. They are not held in clear text on any web site, nor are they ever seen by TrueRooms.

Money Back Guarantee

You may cancel your order at any time between the day the order is placed and the end of the 7th working day following the day on which your goods are received. Please note that when returning rejected goods, the package and contents must in perfect condition. You must inform us by email, fax or in writing of your wish to cancel. You must contact us for advice on safely returning goods. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods safely and in original condition. We may accept goods made unsalable due to damaged packaging, though this is at our discretion and is subject to a 10% repackaging cost. We will refund your money within 30 days of receipt of the goods, less any delivery costs incurred (if any). Returns outside this period will not be accepted. These cancellation terms do not apply to goods that are special order items, goods made to your specification, customised goods or goods purchased instore.

Delivery

As part of our commitment to excellent customer service, our standard delivery service (5-7 working days) is included at no extra charge for orders delivered to mainland UK addresses (contact us for a price for non-mainland deliveries).

You must inspect goods thoroughly before signing for delivery. When signing for a delivery you accept that the goods have been received in good condition. If items are damaged on delivery you should not accept them, let the courier return them to TrueRooms. You should never sign a delivery as 'unchecked'. You must inform us of this within 24 hours of delivery.

If goods are ordered at the weekend or on a bank holiday, the order on the next working day and delivery dates will vary accordingly. If a delivery would normally fall due over the Christmas shutdown period, the delivery period may be extended to a later date. We endeavour to deliver all goods on time, however delays are possible so please do not book your plumber until goods have been safely received complete and in good condition. For bulky orders, please ensure that someone is available to help the driver move the goods from the delivery van to your premises.

Pricing Errors

In the event of a pricing error on the website, TrueRooms will not be bound to honour any orders made at that price.

Guarantee

All goods are guaranteed for a minimum of 30 days. On some products there is an extended guarantee, and in such cases the extended period is outlined in the product's description. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Deva products come with a manufacturers guarantee of up to 12 years.

All Hudson Reed and Home of Amber products hold a 10 year manufacturing guarantee against defects when used on normal domestic applications (excluding serviceable parts, neglect or abuse), as well as a guarantee on the surface finishing, 10 years on chrome, 5 years on antique gold, and a lifetime guarantee on diamonite antique finish.

As a continuously evolving company we reserve the right to change the specification of products without notice.

Complaints

Should you have a complaint we will endeavour to respond to this within 48 hours (2 working days).

Inspect Goods On Delivery

You must inspect goods thoroughly before signing for delivery. When signing for a delivery you accept that the goods have been received in good condition. If items are damaged on delivery you should not accept them, let the courier return them to TrueRooms. You should never sign a delivery as 'unchecked'. You must inform us of this within 24 hours of delivery.

Returning Goods

You must contact us for a returns form. You should return goods via a recorded and insured service. We may refuse goods that are returned without good reason. Upon return we will test the goods for faults or damage.

Faulty Goods

All returns are tested. We will replace the goods or give a full refund including reasonable return costs when the fault is confirmed. If no fault is found the return may be refused.

If A Return Is Refused

If we are unable to accept your return, you should collect your goods within 21 days of notification. We will hold your goods for a minimum of 21 days but may have to dispose of them after this period if they have not been collected.

WEEE Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to take back their waste equipment free of charge. The amount of WEEE the UK throws away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Much of the UK's WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites. We are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when you buy from us a new Electrical or Electronic product. For example, if a customer bought a new laptop from us we would accept their old laptop and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below. Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005 and should be disposed of seperately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
